In case of failover, CPT should be re-run at the recovery site. The reason being the protected site CPT output could be obsolete at the moment of failover. CPT run at the recovery site obtains current information about DRVAs, protected domains, and VMs directly from the object store. CPT is then able to generate a failover plan. The generated failover plan requires some additional information specific for failover to be updated by the user and then it can be used.

Protected domains can be failed over sequentially or concurrently. The number of protected domains to failover concurrently as well as their sequential order are controlled by a priority level value that can be assigned by the user.
