Installation
Three key elements of JetStream DR software need to be installed:
- Management Server Virtual Appliance (MSA): The MSA is used to install and configure host components on the compute cluster and then to administer JetStream DR software.
- DR Virtual Appliance (DRVA): The DRVA manages data path DR components responsible for the transfer of protected data to the object store. Multiple DRVAs can be used concurrently for better scalability. Each DRVA has one or more replication log volumes attached as an iSCSI LUN or as a low-latency VDISK. DRVA volumes contain replication logs of protected data and repositories for persistent metadata.
- Host Components (IOFilter packages): VMware IOFilters are deployed to each vSphere host and are located in the data path between protected VMs and their virtual disks. They intercept data written to virtual disks and replicate it to object storage for protection via the DRVA. IOFilters also monitor relevant events, such as vMotion, Storage vMotion, snapshots, etc.
Installation of JetStream DR software is performed in three parts:

Register the vCenter Server Plug-in
