Protecting VMs with independent, non-persistent disks is not supported. This is VMware VAIO API limitation. Protection of a VM with non-persistent disks can be started if the VM has any other persistent disks; however, only the persistent disks of the VM will be protected and shown in JetStream DR UI. (DRBC-6492, DRBC-6493)
Protecting VMs that have disks shared with other VMs is not supported. This is a VMware VAIO API limitation. JetStream DR rejects attempts to start protection for such VMs.
Protecting VMs that have RDM (Raw Disk Mapping) disks is not supported. This is a VMware VAIO API limitation. JetStream DR rejects attempts to start protection of such VMs.
JetStream DR cannot protect VMs with the NVMe disk controller type due to limitations of VMware.
Azure Storage accounts (blob storage) with hierarchical namespace enabled are not supported.
A compatible policy must be used when performing Storage vMotion of a protected VM. vCenter does not restrict policy selection. If an incompatible policy is selected, protection may fail. (DRBC-8462)
