{"id":1825,"date":"2022-06-29T15:36:03","date_gmt":"2022-06-29T23:36:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=1825"},"modified":"2024-10-01T16:12:43","modified_gmt":"2024-10-02T00:12:43","slug":"unconfigure-cluster-error","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/jetstream-knowledge-base\/unconfigure-cluster-error\/","title":{"rendered":"Unable to Establish CIM Communication"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"is-style-info wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon\">This article applies to all JSDR software versions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Problem<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The following error message may appear when unconfiguring a cluster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"888\" height=\"90\" src=\"https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-6.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2063\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-6.png 888w, https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-6-300x30.png 300w, https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-6-768x78.png 768w, https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-6-50x5.png 50w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 888px) 100vw, 888px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Solution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The error message can appear if any VMs or virtual disks are still associated with the JetStream DR storage policies that should be manually cleaned up from the vCenter server and VM storage policies section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Select a VM from the cluster.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Click <strong>Edit Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Select the disk and change the storage policy to &#8220;default&#8221; then save it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-info wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon\">To identify which VMs have a JetStream storage policy attached, select a cluster then click <strong>Configure &gt; I\/O Filters<\/strong> then select the IO filter &#8220;<em>jetdr&#8221;.<\/em> A list of host(s) will be displayed.
