This condition is indicated in the user interface, as illustrated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"527\" height=\"128\" src=\"https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/b-4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2523\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/b-4.png 527w, https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/b-4-300x73.png 300w, https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/b-4-50x12.png 50w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 527px) 100vw, 527px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">The storage policy will <strong>not <\/strong>be automatically detached, requiring the user to manually delete old snapshots and remove the cancelled protection (which can be done through the user interface).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">If a snapshot already exists, it will not be possible to &#8220;un-protect&#8221; the VM.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"401\" height=\"126\" src=\"https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/c.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2524\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/c.png 401w, https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/c-300x94.png 300w, https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/c-50x16.png 50w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 401px) 100vw, 401px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">In such case, it will be necessary to:<br>1) Manually delete the old snapshot.<br>2) Un-protect the VM.<br>3) Re-protect the VM.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Issue This is an example of replication being cancelled for a protected VM.
