class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">The alarm can be triggered when the reserved space for a replication log approaches its set threshold value.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">The reserved size is not automatically adjusted by the system because free space is generally not available (but it can be manually adjusted as described below).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"228\" used when the replication log volume was initially created.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">The size of the protected domain metadata is too large for the assigned replication log volume.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">The size of the protected domain should be consistent with size considered when initially configuring the replication log volume.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Data failed to replicate to the object store for an extended period of time due to an underlying network issue.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Resolution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Ensure the replication log is configured based upon recomendations from JetStream Software.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Protected domains automatically allocate metadata from the replication log volume when they are created.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Ensure an appropriately sized replication log is used to support the protected domains.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Keep track of the replication log space used when new VMs or protected domains are created.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">If the metadata is too large for the replication log volume, consider reconfiguring it or using a different replication log volume.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Recalculate the replication log volume size based upon actual usage or follow recommendations from the <a href=\"https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/jetstream-knowledge-base\/capacity-planning-tool-cpt\/\">Capacity Planning Tool<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">If the replication log volume has adequate free space, increase its reserved space:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Navigate to the <em>Appliances <\/em>tab<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Select the <em>DRVA.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Select the <em>Replication Log Volume.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Select the <em>Reserved Space.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Go to <em>Configured Reserve Space Size<\/em> and click the <strong>Configure<\/strong> link to specify a new size.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">To increase the size of the replication log volume:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Right-click the DRVA VM.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Increase the replication log disk (VMDK) size.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Reboot the DRVA to make the change become effective.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">After the replication log volume has been resized,
