Problem<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A protected domain may report, “Error retrieving Protected Domain details from Storage Site.<\/em>” This error can affect the replication status of a protected domain causing it to indicate replication status as “Connection Error<\/em>” or \u201cStopped.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This issue can also be observed against the imported protected domain at the recovery site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Solution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Try the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Validate communication with the object store.\n
      \n
    • Ensure both the MSA and the DRVA are able to communicate with the object store. Use the following commands to validate communication:
      \n
        \n
      • From the MSA console; SSH and execute:
        curl -v https:\/\/<object_store_IP>:443<\/strong><\/kbd>
        nslookup <account_name>.blob.core.windows.net<\/strong><\/kbd>
        <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • From the DRVA console; execute:
        curl -v https:\/\/<object_store_IP>:443<\/strong><\/kbd>
        <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • If any communication issues are detected, resolve them then recheck the status.
        <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
          \n
        1. Check the availability of the domain container in the object store.\n
            \n
          • Verify the domain container is available in the object store and has not been deleted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Ensure that the Show deleted containers<\/strong><\/em> option is selected in the object store interface.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Execute the following command in the DRVA console to obtain the domain container ID:
            drva-cli -j list-domains | grep -i bucket<\/strong><\/kbd>

            <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Restore an accidentally deleted container.\n
              \n
            • If the domain container was accidentally deleted, restore it using the undelete<\/strong><\/em> <\/strong>option for the deleted container.
              <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              After performing the above steps, allow some time for the system to recover. The replication status should return to “OK” after all issues have been resolved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              Do not directly delete domain containers from the object store.
              Use the Domain Delete<\/strong><\/em> command to correctly clean up associated containers at the object store.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
