It does not retain any configuration or state information between reboots. If the ISO is not mounted during the boot process the appliance will encounter problems and fail to start. Manually removing the ISO or disconnecting the CD\/DVD drive without heeding vCenter warnings can lead to the appliance failing to boot. This problem can also be caused by deleting the required JetStream DR ISO from the data store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Solution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Check the CD\/DVD drive setting of the DRVA\u2019s VM:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Ensure that the ISO is mounted correctly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">If the ISO is not mounted, attach the correct ISO to the VM&#8217;s CD\/DVD drive.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/vCenter-warning.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5741\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/vCenter-warning.png 1000w, https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/vCenter-warning-300x90.png 300w, https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/vCenter-warning-768x230.png 768w, https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/vCenter-warning-50x15.png 50w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">vCenter warning message.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Check the datastore for JetStream DR software:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Identify the datastore where the DRVA VM is located.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Access the datastore via the vSphere client.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Verify if the directory named &#8220;<em>jetstream_iso<\/em>&#8221; exists.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">If the <em>jetstream_iso<\/em> directory does not exist, create a directory for it.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Right-click the datastore, select <em><strong>New Folder<\/strong><\/em>, and name the folder &#8220;jetstream_iso&#8221;.<br><br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Download the ISO file to the <em>jetstream_iso<\/em> folder.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Download the ISO file from the URL:<br><kbd><strong>&lt;msa_ip>\/pkg\/latest\/drva\/&lt;version>\/jetstream-drva-<kbd><strong>&lt;version><\/strong><\/kbd>.iso<\/strong><\/kbd>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Replace <kbd><strong>&lt;msa_ip><\/strong><\/kbd> with the appropriate IP address and <kbd><strong>&lt;version><\/strong><\/kbd> with the required version number.<br><br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">After downloading the ISO file, upload it to the <em>jetstream_iso<\/em> folder in the datastore.<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Mount the ISO to the DRVA VM experiencing the problem and ensure <strong><em>Connect At Power On<\/em><\/strong> is enabled.<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Reboot the DRVA.<br><br><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-alert wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon\">Keeping the ISO mounted in a stateless VM is essential to ensure the VM will be able to boot, load its necessary software, and maintain a consistent and repeatable state across sessions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Problem The JetStream DRVA VM is down and fails to boot or gets stuck during booting.
