In the event of a disaster at the primary site, the replication log section is not automatically cleaned up and <em>must be manually deleted<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Procedure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">If the DRVA is still operational following a forced failover\/planned failover, manually delete the replication log section:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">1. Click the <em>Appliances <\/em>tab and navigate to <em>Replication Log Volume<\/em> details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">2. In some situations, an error may occur during the deletion process preventing the section from being deleted. In such case, reboot the DRVA and then attempt to delete the replication log section again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"689\" height=\"460\" src=\"https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/replication-log-error.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5867\" style=\"width:840px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/replication-log-error.png 689w, https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/replication-log-error-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/replication-log-error-50x33.png 50w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 689px) 100vw, 689px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Replication log section has an error and cannot be deleted.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-info wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon\">Planned failover (PFO) is a planned event and the DRVA will continue to remain operational throughout the entire process. The corresponding replication log section will not be deleted automatically. This is done to support the &#8220;Resume Continuous Rehydration&#8221; function where retention of the replication log section is necessary.<br><br>If planned failover if performed and then it is desired to failback <em>without<\/em> &#8220;Resume Continuous Rehydration&#8221; (RCR), the replication log section must first be deleted.<br><br>However, if the &#8220;<em>Destroy protected domain\u2019s VMs and section on the remote site<\/em>&#8221; option is explicitly selected during execution of a planned failover, it will not be necessary to manually the section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Issue The Replication Log section becomes invalid after the execution of a Forced Failover or Planned Failover.
