This article applies to all JSDR software versions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This article explains how to update the static IP address of a DRVA virtual machine. These instructions are applicable for both dual and single network DRVAs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Before proceeding, ensure that the DRVA VM is powered off<\/em>.

  2. Right-click the DRVA VM and select Edit Settings<\/strong><\/em> from the context menu.

  3. In the Edit Settings<\/em> window, navigate to the VM Options<\/strong><\/em> tab.

  4. Scroll down to the Advanced<\/strong> <\/em>section within the VM Options<\/em> tab and select Edit Configuration<\/strong><\/em> to access the advanced configuration parameters.

  5. Filter by \u201cguestinfo.net<\/em>\u201d to locate the network configuration parameters.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    1. Identify and select the relevant configuration parameter with the static IP address to be updated.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      1. Update the IP address to the required value.\n
          \n
        • Save and exit the screen.

        • Power on the DRVA VM and ensure the IP change has been successfully applied.\n

          • Check the current IP status using the command: ip a<\/strong><\/kbd><\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Or, the value can be verified from the JetStream DR UI: Appliances \u2192 DRVA \u2192 Details<\/strong>.<\/em>

            The DRVA is a stateless appliance, thus any changes made directly at the guest OS level will be lost upon reboot. Therefore, all IP configurations must be done through the VM’s configuration settings for changes to remain persistent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Changing from DHCP to a static IP requires use of a custom script. Contact JetStream support for assistance with this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
