all JSDR software versions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Problem<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The Jetstream DR UI attempts to load but fails and displays the error message: &#8220;<em>JetStream plugin extension not found on vCenter server.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">In this example, vCenter has been successfully registered with the MSA; however, the JetStream DR UI fails to load and displays the following error message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"850\" found error message.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Troubleshooting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">In vCenter navigate to: <strong>Administration \u2192 Solutions \u2192 Client Plugins<\/strong>.<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Check that the JetStream DR plugin status indicates \u201c<em>Deployed\/Enabled.<\/em>\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"134\" class=\"\">If the plugin is enabled, ensure \u201c<em>vCenter Enhanced Linked Mode<\/em>\u201d is being used.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">vCenter Enhanced Linked Mode allows you to log in to any single instance of vCenter Server and view and manage the inventories of all the vCenter Server systems in the group.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">vCenter Enhanced Linked Mode should let you to access JetStream DR from another linked vCenter sever in the system, even if it was not the one registered to the MSA during configuration.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">If the plugin status is not \u201cDeployed\/Enabled,\u201d refer to the following knowledge base article to troubleshoot DNS configuration issues:<br><a href=\"https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/jetstream-knowledge-base\/jetstream-dr-configuration-errors-dns-issues\/\">JetStream DR Configuration Errors \u2013 DNS Issues \u2013 JetStream Software Portal<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Solution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Try accessing the JetStream DR UI directly from the vCenter server registered with the MSA.<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Ensure you are logging into the correct server by using the IP or FQDN in a web browser.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">The IP of the vCenter registered with the MSA is displayed on a confirmation screen during the configuration process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"307\" src=\"https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/plugin-error3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5999\" style=\"width:538px;height:auto\" of the registered vCenter.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-alert wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon\">Access JetStream DR only from the registered vCenter server, even if <em>Enhanced Linked Mode<\/em> is enabled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:39px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">If it is necessary to change the registered vCenter server on the MSA:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">First unregister the current vCenter server from the MSA.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Then re-register a new vCenter server on the MSA.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-danger wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon\">vCenter server cannot be gracefully unregistered if it contains any protected VMs.<br><br><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"450\" height=\"265\" class=\"wp-image-6000\" style=\"width: 450px;\" src=\"https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/unregister-error.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/unregister-error.png 850w, https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/unregister-error-300x176.png 300w, https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/unregister-error-768x452.png 768w, https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/unregister-error-50x29.png 50w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><br><br>The only way to unregister vCenter server in this situation is by forcefully removing it using the MOB (Managed Object Browser).
