{"id":6769,"date":"2025-04-10T14:49:34","date_gmt":"2025-04-10T22:49:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=6769"},"modified":"2025-04-10T15:01:15","modified_gmt":"2025-04-10T23:01:15","slug":"re-ip-fails-after-failover-or-failback","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/jetstreamsoft.com\/portal\/jetstream-knowledge-base\/re-ip-fails-after-failover-or-failback\/","title":{"rendered":"Re-IP Fails After Failover or Failback"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"is-style-info wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon\">This article applies to all JSDR software versions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Problem<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">After completing failover or failback, Re-IP does not occur as expected.<br>The following condition can be observed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Check the log files to debug the issue:<br><kbd><strong>\/var\/log\/lin-change-ip.log<\/strong> and <strong>\/var\/log\/vmware-imc\/toolsDeployPkg.log<\/strong><\/kbd><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">If the Linux VM has more than one config file, the log file will indicate:<br><kbd><em>2025-01-25 05:08:09,798 - Found more than one configuration file for device $iface. Won't make any changes.
