Downloading and Installing the JetStream Software Tools OVA (Automation Toolkit)

This article provides details about how to download and install the JetStream Software Tools OVA. There are two different versions of the OVA. Be sure to select the correct version that matches your JetStream DR installation.

Software Versions

JetStream DR Version 4.3.x and Above

If JetStream DR version 4.3.x or above is being used, download the JetStream Tools OVA from the following link:

• Download Link: JSDR-TOOLS-4.3.0.545-240828.zip

JetStream DR Version 4.2.6 and Below

If JetStream DR version 4.2.6 or below is being used, download the JetStream Tools OVA from the following link:

• Download Link: JSDR-TOOLS-4.2.6.545-240828.zip

If you are planning to upgrade an installation of JetStream DR software to version to 4.3, use version 4.3 of the JetStream Tools. This version of the tools includes a script required to perform the upgrade (for on-premises datacenters).

(JetStream Tools version 4.2.x does not contain the upgrade script.)

Instructions

1. Click the appropriate download link above, based on the version of JetStream DR software you are using.
   
   
2. Save the downloaded file to your local system.
   
   
3. Unzip the file to extract the OVA.
   
   
4. From vCenter, deploy the JetStream Tools VM from the OVA.
   • Refer to the online guide for details about using the various utilities included with the JetStream DR Automation Toolkit.
     
     

Be sure to select and use the correct version of the toolkit to avoid compatibility issues. If there is any uncertainty about the version of JetStream DR software currently installed, check it from the Configurations tab of the JetStream DR UI.
