The JetStream DR Automation Toolkit (AT) is comprised of multiple modules deployed from the “JetStream Tools” OVA that can be used together to plan, configure, and operate JetStream DR software.
Automation Toolkit Modules
- Capacity Planning Tool (CPT): A planning and automation tool to estimate resources required to implement JetStream DR, define protected domains, show resource consumption by protected VMs and DR appliances, and generate “protection plans” to automate DR processes.
- Capacity Planning Scripts: The operation of CPT and JetStream DR software can be automated through the use of scripts.
- Validate Environment (validateEnv): A tool to analyze the computing environment to evaluate various components necessary for seamless installation and operation of JetStream DR software.
- Object Store and Bandwidth Performance Test Tool (BT): A planning utility to measure network performance to object stores supported by JetStream DR software.
- Statistics Collection Tool (SCT): A script-based tool to gather various operational statistics of JetStream DR components and generate data reports for system performance analysis or automation.
- Parameter Manager (parman): A management tool to directly set/unset configuration parameters of various JetStream DR components eliminating the need to navigate the JetStream DR UI. It can be used to automate DR processes.
- Global Health View (GHV): An analytical tool to aggregate the status of all JetStream DR components and tabulate them allowing the current state of components to be compared to a previous state.
