Object Store and Bandwidth Performance Test Tool (“BT”) measures the object upload & download performance on object stores supported by JetStream DR. The test results include upload and download speeds, and minimum, maximum, and average latency for each iteration of 1,000 object uploads and downloads.

BT is configured to run in a modern Linux VM (e.g. CentOS 8 or later / compatible) and requires at minimum:

  • 4 vCPU
  • 4GB RAM
  • 100MB free hard disk space
  • 1 vNIC


NOTE: When deploying the VM, connect the virtual NIC to a network that can access the Azure Storage Account to be used during the test. The VM is configured for DHCP by default. If a static IP is required, configure it via the VM console after deployment.
