The JetStream DR Capacity Planning Tool (“CPT”) estimates required DR resources, defines protected domains, and shows consumption of resources by the protected VMs and DR appliances. It also generates several “protection plans” to automate various DR processes: Start Protection, Start Continuous Failover, On-demand Failover, and Failback.
- CPT provides a graphical user interface that enables users to easily operate CPT interactively. Alternately, CPT can be controlled using command line scripts. In addition to its planning and reporting functions, CPT can be used to execute multi-step CPT generated protection plans.
- CPT is run at the protected site and also at the recovery site. Functionality of CPT differs depending upon the site at which it is run and other specific conditions.
- CPT is distributed as a part of the “JetStream Tools” OVA.
