Problem
When a new cluster is configured the task fails reporting the error “Replication SPBM capability does not exist on vCenter Server for requested IO Filter version.”

Mousing over the cluster error status displays the detail “vCenter Server missing JetStream VM protection policy.”

Additionally, vCenter reports “Registration/unregistration of third-party IO filter storage providers fail on a host.”

Troubleshooting
- View cluster details under the JetStream DR Configurations tab.
- Verify all hosts display an “OK” status and are configured with the correct IO Filter software version.

- If any host has an error status or if any IO Filter version is missing, click its corresponding Resolve Issue link.
- If operating in the AVS environment, use the Run command: Resolve-Hostissue.
- If operating in the AVS environment, use the Run command: Resolve-Hostissue.
- Ensure the IO Filter storage providers are online.
- Check from vCenter by navigating to Configure → Storage Providers.
- Check from vCenter by navigating to Configure → Storage Providers.
- Validate if the JetStream DR storage policy is intact.
- Check from vSphereClient → Policies and Profiles → VM Storage Policies.
- Multiple datastore policies related to JetStream DR will typically be created.

- If no JetStream DR policies are listed, navigate to the JetStream DR Configurations tab, select the problem cluster and then click the Resolve Configure Issue button.
- If operating within the AVS environment, use the Run command Resolve-ClusterIssue.
