Failed IO Filter Package Installation on Cluster

This article applies to all JSDR software versions.

Problem

IO Filter installation on the cluster fails displaying the following error:

Failed to install the package on the cluster.

Details:  Cannot complete the operation. See the event log for details. Failed to modify installation status of I/O filter, JET_bootbank_jetdr_4.1.12.169-1OEM.670.0.0.8169922, on all hosts.. null. host=10.40.3.12, errorMsg: MethodFault.summary Agent VIB module is not installed. Solution

This problem can be caused by an incompatible version of ESXi.

• Install/upgrade the host to a supported version of ESXi.

Supported ESXi versions
• 6.7 P03 or later (build number#16713306 or later) for older JSDR versions to 4.1.6.
• 7.0 Update 3c or later (build number# 19193900 or later) for JSDR version (4.1.8) and later.
