ExpressRoute FastPath
ExpressRoute is a virtual network gateway that is designed for routing traffic and exchanging network routes. FastPath is used to increase data path performance between the virtual network and the on-premises network. When activated, FastPath bypasses the gateway and sends network traffic straight to the virtual computers in the virtual network.
How to Enable AVS ExpressRoute FastPath
If the virtual network gateway is UltraPerformance (ErGw3AZ), ExpressRoute FastPath can be enabled for it. FastPath enhances data path performance in terms of packets and connections made per second between the physical network and virtual network. Learn more about ExpressRoute FastPath.
To create a new connection and configure FastPath:
- Select the FastPath checkbox when creating a new connection for the ExpressRoute gateway.
