JetStream DR Plugin Fails to Load / Error Connecting to MSA

This article applies to all JSDR software versions.

Problem

The JetStream DR plugin fails to load and displays the following error message when attempting to access the plugin from vCenter:

Solution

This issue can occur if the MSA hostname is incorrectly configured.

1. Review and edit the MSA host file to update the hostname.
   • Log in to the MSA using root credentials.
   • Edit the host file: vi /etc/hostname.
      
2. Save the host file then restart the MSA.
    
3. After the host file has been updated and the MSA restarted, verify the hostname of the MSA.

Example of a valid hostname:
[root@fs087-msa1 tmp]# cat /etc/hostname
fs087-msa1.st.jsoft.com
