Protected Domain Test Failover Failed

This article applies to all JSDR software versions.

Alarm

This alarm signals the test failover (TFO) operation for a protected domain has failed.

Possible Cause

The test failover operation can fail because:

  1. Network settings are incorrect or incomplete.
  2. The recovery site may lack the necessary resources (CPU, memory, storage) for failover.
  3. Inadequate permissions prevent access to required resources for failover.

Resolution

  1. Ensure the network settings for both the protected and target environments are correctly configured.
  2. Confirm the target DR environment has sufficient CPU, memory, and storage available to perform the test failover.
  3. Confirm the MSA VM at the protected site is powered on and functional with no errors reported.
  4. Ensure proper permissions are set for the VM folders at the target site.

Contact Jetstream Support with MSA logs if you are unable to resolve the issue.
