Alarm
This alarm signals failure or degredation of a storage IO path in a multi-path network configuration.
Symptoms
When iSCSI storage that uses multi-pathing mode exhibits degraded performance, users may observe:
- iSCSI sessions timing out or dropping.
- Slower data transfer rates or higher than usual read/write times.
- Frequent path failures or loss of connectivity.
Resolution
- Validate the storage network and ensure there are no underlying issues with it.
- Validate the logs related to the provisioned iSCSI storage.
- Search for any path failures.
- Search for any change or reduction in replication transfer speeds.
- Try to identify the time and cause of any problems.
- If a path is down or not operating properly, resolve the problem then validate that normal behavior has been restored.
