VIB Installation Failure

This article applies to all JSDR software versions.

Issue

When installing IO/Filter (VIB) on ESXi hosts, the following error may be encountered:

Solution

This error can be caused by an ESXi version incompatibility. After upgrading ESXi to a version compatible with JetStream DR software, the error should no longer appear.

Builds that can accept RSA VMware signing:
6.5 >= P06
6.7 >= P03
All 7.0 < U3c (but ECC signing will take care of U3c/d)

ESXi versions 6.5 and 6.7 stand absolute. JetStream no longer supports signing IOF for these versions.
