During recovery, the boot sequence and boot delay settings determine the order and timing in which VMs of a Recovery Group are started. These configurations ensure that dependent VMs such as databases and applications, come online in the correct order with appropriate delays to prevent startup conflicts and ensure smooth recovery operation.

    • VM boot sequence can be changed directly on the Runbook Settings page by dragging entries on the list into the desired position of sequence.
    • VM boot delay can be specified by typing a value directly into the Boot delay field.
      • The boot delay value is applied when the VM is signaled to begin its boot sequence (following the VM prior to it).
