Properties of protected VMs can be directly changed as necessary even while they are being protected by AROVA. AROVA monitors and periodically retrieves properties of protected VMs, detects any changes to them, and then automatically updates the CDB accordingly. During recovery, AROVA will have a current record of VM properties that will be applied to restored VMs ensuring they are recovered with the most recent configuration settings.

Note: AROVA does not perform compatibility checks between primary and secondary regions when VM property changes create or update dependencies on other components of a Google Cloud project. It is the user's responsibility to update these properties appropriately. Refer to Appendix B for the list of all managed VM properties.
