For some VM disk property changes, GCE will automatically update the properties on the secondary disk. GCE monitors and automatically updates the following properties:

    • Access mode (Hyperdisk only)
    • Disk size
    • Provisioned IOPS and throughput (Hyperdisk only)
    • Replication status

AROVA monitors and records the properties of protected VMs including their attached disks. Properties related to a disk’s attachment to a VM (such as: deletion rule, device name, etc.) will be retained on a restored VM.
