JetStream DR Network Configuration A
Single dedicated network segment for JetStream virtual appliances
Figure 2: Single network segment for all JetStream traffic types.
- This network configuration is the simplest to deploy and configure.
- Compatible with any JetStream deployment (AVS or on-premises).
- All JetStream DR traffic types run across a single virtual network segment. This is referred to as the “management” network.
- Each JetStream virtual appliance is deployed with a single network interface and IP address.
- No additional routing configuration required.
- DHCP is required on this network segment for RVM as they are deployed during restore operations.
- Ensure that the DHCP IP address range is equal to or larger than the total number of VMs being recovered simultaneously.
- Each RVM requires an IP address and represents one VM being recovered.
- Suitable for sites using virtual disk(s) for DRVA replication log volumes.
- This is the recommended network configuration.
