Additional dependent VMs can be added to an existing Recovery Group.

    • Navigate to the Protected Domains screen.
    • Select the Recovery Groups tab to review the list of all Recovery Groups.
    • Select a Recovery Group then click the START PROTECTION button.
    • A list of VMs available to add to the Recovery Group will be displayed.
    • Select desired VM(s) then start protection.
    • AROVA will check the protection eligibility of each VM (including the Recovery Group VM scope, zones, and maximum number of disks for the CG). If eligible, AROVA will proceed to create secondary disks, add the disks to the corresponding CG, and then start replication for each of the VM’s disks.

Notes: Starting VM protection under an existing Recovery Group does not impact protection of other VMs in the Recovery Group.
If failover is performed while VMs being added have the protection status Initializing or Initial Sync, they will be skipped from failover.
