09. Point-In-Time Recovery
Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR) allows VMs and data from a particular time in the past (last "known good" point) to be recovered, tested, and then restored.
Protected domains can be constructed with PITR capability allowing their VMs and data to be restored to a previous point in time within a window of protection specified by the user. The steps and screens of the PITR feature are complementary to those for DR protection and recovery but with some notable differences documented here.
- PITR is currently only available as a technology preview function for select customers working directly with JetStream Software. As such, the option to enable PITR does not appear in the standard product user interface.
- If you are interested in trying PITR, contact your JetStream Software representative for guidance on unlocking and using this feature.
- After the feature has been unlocked, PITR can be configured and operated as follows:
⚠︎ IMPORTANT: The PITR function is currently being offered as a “technology preview.” Please contact your JetStream Software representative for additional guidance before implementing and using this function.
